Two years after my first visit to Estonia.. some things remain... other are newly discovered (or new!)
A indoor smoking ban has come into effect.
Estonian non-stick cookware is not!
It seems there has been a massive growth in the driving instruction business. Parallel Oblique parking seems to be the biggest challenge.
The driving instruction cars are intricately decorated, and have a sign on top that resembles a taxi sign.
But you can tell they are not taxis because they do not stop when you try to flag them down.
There are flower stands in every corner, and girls often walk around with fresh flowers. It seems people give and receive flowers without any stigma.
"Summer" consists of a couple of warm weeks in late July, plus a few scattered days before and afterwards.
Otherwise, it is mostly a continuous spring-fall.
A festive atmosphere spontaneously develops at the slightest sign of warm sunny weather.
There are all kinds of potato chips: dill, vinegar, ketchup, pizza, cheese, even fromage (yes, it is different!), but it is very difficult to get just regular plain old potato chips. now impossible to find regular chips except for Pringles.
Apparently, whistling indoors, which I am always doing, is considered bad luck.
They eat pancakes. No, not only for breakfast, also as regular meals, with meat and vegetables!
