Welcome to my new blog. It will feature my personal musings, which, given my background, will usually have an evolutionary ecology perspective. As my interests developed, I have become increasingly more interested in applying evolutionary ecology principles to human interactions. I believe in free speech and the open exchange of ideas, which brings me to the blog's title. I am certainly not the first one to come to this realization, but I have come to believe that in the next few decades, eastern Europe and perhaps South America will become the last remaining bastions of western civilization. Then again, maybe there is some hope. We shall see whether the next four years lead to significant long-term changes.
